Rachel has been with Crosspointe Animal Hospital since 2005. She became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in March of 2015. Her interests include working with feral and fearful / aggressive cats and maintaining a fear-free environment for all patients.
Rachel enjoys interacting with different types of animals and some of her favorite memories include swimming with dolphins, feeding a baby tiger, and seeing wild elephants on an African safari. Rachel lives at home with her 2 very spoiled cats.
Niza has been with Crosspointe Animal Hospital since 2011. Her love for Veterinary Medicine has solidified this as her career path, but she has also grown to have a deep passion for Hospital Management. Niza takes special interest in working with fearful dogs and cats, by doing her best to change their experience into a positive one.
In her free time Niza enjoys exploring trails with her lab/pit mix, Brownie and her toy poodle, Lucia. They also enjoy watching movies together and going on road trips.
Katie joined the Crosspointe team in October 2013. With the encouragement from the vets here, she went to veterinary technician school and graduated in May 2018. Her favorite things about being a tech are geriatric care, surgery and working with large breeds like Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, Rottweilers and Great Danes. The photogenic pup who is in the picture with Katie is her black lab Bucky (named for the Winter Soldier!). Together, they enjoy all the nerdy things: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, Supernatural and Doctor Who.
Kimberly joined the Crosspointe team in February 2016, but has been involved in the veterinary field since her sophomore year of high school. After receiving her Bachelors of Science degree from Sweet Briar College, Kimberly earned an additional associates degree from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her favorite areas in the veterinary field include anesthesiology, dentistry, and orthopedic surgeries. Outside of work, her interests include photography, spending time with friends and family, and rooting on the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers!

Megan started working at Crosspointe Animal Hospital in the kennel department in October of 2019. Working with the boarding pets helped her recognize her passion for animal care, and she became a veterinary assistant in June of 2020. She loves rescues and will often open her home to adoptable dogs and cats who need special care while waiting for a forever home. Megan became one of the kennel supervisors in March of 2021 and looks forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with the kennel staff in hopes that they will recognize their passion for animals in the same way she did years ago. In her free time, Megan enjoys playing video games, listening to music, and spending time outside with whatever four legged friend she has with her at the time!
Jessica started working at Crosspointe in 2019, starting out as a kennel attendant. Jessica was soon moved up to work as a veterinarian’s assistant where she has been training under the supervision of the veterinarians, technicians and senior staff members here at Crosspointe. Jessica has a huge passion for working with animals and hopes to one day become a veterinarian herself. Her dream is to one day own her own rescue, where she will work with earth's endangered species, helping to repopulate them back out into the wild before becoming extinct. Jessica also enjoys being at home with her two German shepherds Nala and Gemma and loves spending time with her family.
Andria joined the Crosspointe team in October 2015. She has a special place in her heart for Basset Hounds. Andria's favorite season is the fall, as she loves the colorful leaves, bonfires and getting to wear flannel. She also loves anything caramel flavored.
Andria enjoys her work at Crosspointe because she gets to combine her love of animals with her love of working and being around people.
Chelsie has been working in the field of veterinary medicine since 2012, but joined Crosspointe Animal Hospital's team in June of 2017. She is originally from the south, and carries southern hospitality and kindness with her everywhere she goes. When she isn't at work, you can find Chelsie watching TV or singing 90's hits to her two dogs, Scout and Rusty.
Jailene joined Crosspointe's team in August of 2018 after attending Virginia Tech. She is currently in vet tech school, but ultimately wants to become a veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 4 dogs and 2 cats. She also loves watching movies. While working at Crosspointe, Jailene has developed a passion for orthopedics, a love for all hound dogs, and a desire to find new ways to practice medicine everyday.
Maria has been with Crosspointe Animal Hospital since May 2018. She has a special place in her heart for Schnauzers and has quickly familiarized herself with our schnauzer patients. She studied zoology in college and has a keen interest in animal behavior. She was an interpreter for the Smithsonian Zoo in D.C. and owns three dogs and two cats. Her interests include hiking, lying on the beach, and finding new brunch spots in Northern Virginia. Her goal is to help endangered species from becoming extinct, including the intimidating reptiles.
Jayla grew up in Falls Church, Virginia. She was the kid who always was around animals or trying to bring one home. She decided to jump into the veterinary field in 2010. she completed her hands-on training hours and received her certification in vet assisting from PGCC. She plans to move forward in becoming a veterinary technician. She loves playing basketball, Arts & Crafts, going to the beach, and cuddling with her cat, “Spooky jack-o’-lantern”.
Kevin has been a team member at Crosspointe Animal Hospital since November of 2018. He started out by working in the kennel, but over time became more interested in the medical aspects of the hospital and joined the treatment team in the spring of 2019. He really enjoys working with a variety of animals every day, but German Shepherds have a special place in his heart. Outside of work, Kevin spends most of his free time playing soccer or spending time with his dog.
Alyssa was born and raised in Northern Va and after a year in Tennessee came to join our team. She is currently going to school to become a veterinary technician and then she plans on pursuing veterinary school. She has animals big and small from a crazy horse to a petite cat and many story’s to tell. She has been in or around the veterinary field since she was 14 and on her free time she spends it with her 5 dogs, at the barn, or watching professional bull riding!
Skylar started working at Crosspointe in June of 2020. She loves working with geriatric patients, earning the trust of rescues, and learning any chance she can get. Skylar also has a soft side for large animals such as cows, goats, sheep, alpacas, and llamas. Pictured with Skylar is Milkdud, her sweet senior pup who loves to chase her kitty siblings, Pumpkin and Toothless, around the house. Together they enjoy watching Grey's Anatomy and singing along to the Hamilton Musical Soundtrack.
Leila has been an employee at Crosspointe Animal Hospital since July 2020 but has been working at dog daycares and animal rescues since 2017. She currently has two Labrador Retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog but plans on adopting many more pups in the future. She has a special affection for all senior dogs and greyhounds! In her free time, she enjoys hiking and drawing/painting exotic animal portraits and murals.
Kel joined the Crosspointe Animal Hospital family in January 2021. They have a special passion for animals, and love to meet new furry friends. They particularly enjoy working with service animals and helping service teams achieve their best lives. Kel is currently in school for Criminology and Psychology dual degrees at George Mason University. They have two cats named Moomba and Jolie, a German Shepherd named Kita, and a French Boulonnais draft horse named Saint. When Kel isn't at work, you can find them working on their latest artistic endeavors, including painting, tailoring, and writing.
