Dr. Hinn, DVM
Dr. Hinn is a Virginia native and received his DVM
degree from the University of Georgia. His special interests include surgery, veterinary dentistry, birds and exotic pet care as well as that of cats and dogs.Another strong interest that he has developed is that of nutrition and vitamin supplementation. In addition to local and national veterinary associations, he is a member of the Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Dental Association, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. Dr. Hinn has one kitty named Purry.
Dr. Burbrink, DVM
Burbrink received her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College
of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, in 2007. Her special interests include dentistry (a
field in which she has taken extensive continuing education courses), soft
tissue surgery, and internal medicine. Dr. Burbrink is married to her high-school
sweetheart, has two boys, and a Boston Terrier named Rommel. She enjoys cheering for all the local sports
teams, especially the Washington Nationals, and loves anything Star Wars
Dr. Grimes, DVM
Dr. Grimes joined the Crosspointe team in June 2012. She grew up in Hendersonville, TN, a city just outside of Nashville, and attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Tennessee-GO VOLS! Her professional interests include feline medicine and ophthalmology. In her spare time, Dr. Grimes enjoys trying different restaurants with her boyfriend, Mike, a professional chef, going to a variety of fitness classes, and spending time with her 3 cats, Java, Sydney, and Dulce.
Dr. Gigrich, DVM
Dr. Gigrich is British, and qualified as a veterinarian from Cambridge University Veterinary School in England. She spent a few years working in a mixed practice in Nottingham, England, (Robin Hood's home town!) before marrying an American, Jim and moving to the U.S. Having passed American veterinary exams, she worked in small animal hospitals in Georgia, New York State, and Kansas before moving to Germany for 4 years. After a break for children, she started working at Crosspointe part-time in 2008, and is happy to be back in her chosen profession. She stays constantly busy with work, looking after her 4 energetic boys, and walking her big, yellow lab, "Hunter".
Dr. Skorup, DVM
Dr. Kerry Skorup grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventative care. Dr. Skorup joined the Crosspointe team in 2013 and lives in Arlington with her husband, Brent. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
